Cards Cash is a useful way for families to control the spending of children inside the ballpark. The program also makes for a good gift or employee reward system since it eliminates the need to deal with actual cash.

For the current season the St. Louis Cardinals are offering a 20 percent bonus on all Cards Cash purchases. Fans who buy $10 of Cards Cash receive $12 of value loaded onto their tickets. Stored value can be loaded onto any single game ticket throughout the season.

Some season tickets and individual game tickets for certain sections come automatically loaded with Cards Cash value. Fans can always add more value to any tickets by visiting the customer service kiosks or Busch Stadium ticket windows.

Cards Cash value can only be used for one specific game. Value does not carry over and any value remaining on a ticket after the end of the game expires as worthless. No refund or change is ever offered for Cards Cash value either so fans should be sure to spend the entire potion during the game.

Because of the restrictions on the program, Cards Cash store value is only useful for fans who know they will spend money during the game. Despite the bonus 20% ticket value, fans should only load a ticket with as much Cards Cash as they know for sure they will use during the game.

Since Cards Cash is attached to the ticket, losing or transferring your ticket results in losing the entire balance of Cards Cash as well. However this can be a feature for fans looking to re-sell their tickets on the third-party ticket broker market. Unfortunately there is no easy way to verify the balance of Cards Cash value on a ticket prior to entering Busch Stadium on the day of the game.

Fans are allowed to take outside drinks into Busch Stadium for every game during the regular season. Since the policies for post-season games have to be approved by Major League Baseball, the Cardinals do not guarantee that the rule regarding outside drinks will remain the same after the end of the regular season.

Strict limits are placed on outside beverages. The following items are not allowed into Busch Stadium:

• Alcoholic beverages of any type
• Opaque bottles
• Cans
• Thermoses
• Hard coolers
• Large coolers
• Hard cups
• Hard mugs

The team allows fans to bring in water or other non-alcoholic beverages in open cups or clear plastic bottles of no more than two liters.

Outside drinks must be used only by the fans who bring them into Busch Stadium. The team never permits the sale or redistribution of beverages inside the ballpark.

First Pitch tickets offer fans the opportunity to buy two tickets to a Cardinals game for just $5.10 each.

First Pitch ticket locations are random and based on ticket returns and leftover tickets remaining following the conclusion of all other ticket sales. Savvy fans should study the official Busch Stadium seating chart long before game time to have the best chance of finding a good seating areas.

The process of getting First Pitch tickets is complicated and tickets are only offered the day of the game. In order to get Cardinals First Pitch tickets, you must:

1. Be one of the first 275 fans in line at the 8th Street ticket windows at Busch Stadium. Windows open at 9AM on the day of the game only. Sales are limited to 275 vouchers per game.
2. Buy a voucher for $11.20 from the ticket window. Each voucher is good for a pair of tickets to the Cardinals game that same day. A picture ID is required at the time of voucher purchase.
3. Ten minutes before scheduled first pitch, fans must show their picture ID and voucher at Gate 5 near the First Pitch Tickets sign. Each pair of tickets will be distributed in sealed envelopes.
4. After receiving tickets, fans must immediately enter the stadium.
5. First Pitch Tickets will only be provided until 15 minutes after the first pitch. Fans who purchase a voucher but do not arrive at the gate on time will be denied entry.

Although the requirements are strict, First Pitch tickets are the cheapest way to get into Busch Stadium for a St. Louis Cardinals game.

Since promotional items are very popular among St. Louis fans, First Pitch ticket holders are not guaranteed a promotional item. In addition, given the strict time restrictions on entering the ballpark, all fans who intend to use First Pitch tickets should be lined up outside of Gate 5 at least 30 minutes before the start of the game.

With only 275 vouchers distributed for each game, some fans start lining up at the ticket window long before 9AM. For the most popular games the line begins as early as 6AM. For less popular weekday games fans may be able to get a voucher by lining up as late as 8AM.

Note that the Cardinals intend to continue with the First Pitch ticket promotion for the entire 2013 regular season, but there are no indications that the promotion will continue during playoff games or for future seasons.

Fans who buy at least eight gallons of gas from a Phillips 66 gas station and immediately request a “Cardinals ticket promo card” from the station attendant are eligible for the offer. The promo card can be turned in to the Busch Stadium ticket window or Cardinals ticket office for savings of up to 50 percent off of two St. Louis Cardinals tickets.

Tickets in normal seating areas with a regular face value of $20 or more are available for the ticket discount. All-inclusive tickets and tickets to the Coca-cola areas must have a face value of $100 or more. April 8, April 12, April 13, April 14, April 26, April 28, May 11, May 31, June 1, June 21, June 22, June 23, July 5, July 19, July 20, July 21, August 9, August 10, August 11, September 7, September 8, September 13, September 15, September 27, September 28, and September 29.

The AAA member ticket discount only applies to tickets with a face value price of $20 or more and is not applicable for tickets to the premium all-inclusive areas or for suites. In addition certain games during the season are blocked out from ticket discounts. Blackouts apply to the following games:

For all other games, the AAA discount is available only when purchasing tickets directly from the Cardinals ticket office or the Busch Stadium ticket windows. The Busch Stadium Six Flags Double Play Combo is available only to fans who purchase tickets in advance through the Cardinals team website or the Busch Stadium ticket office. Since tickets will be mailed, fans need to buy tickets far enough in advance of the game to be assured of on time delivery.

Eligible Cardinals seating areas for the promotion include the Busch Stadium Left Field Porch, Busch Stadium Rightfield Loge, Busch Stadium Leftfield Loge, Busch Stadium Pavilion, Busch Stadium Terrace, and Busch Stadium Bleachers.

One adult admission to six flags is provided with the deal.

Unlike the premium seating areas, food and beverages are not included in the price of a Redbird Club ticket. Fans are responsible for paying for everything inside the club as only admission into the Redbird Club and an assigned seat come with a ticket.

Redbird Club tickets do come with amenities not available in the less expensive seating areas. The primary benefit is access to the club itself. A fully-enclosed, climate-controlled interior space running along half the length of the club level, the Redbird Club is only open to fans who purchase a club ticket.

Inside the Redbird Club are exclusive concessions with upgraded food and beverage selections. The club is filled with tables, couches, and chairs for fans who want to remain inside during especially hot or cold days. Multiple banks of flat-screen televisions are tuned to a variety of sports channels in front of rows of seats.

Restroom facilities are also nicer and more spacious than those on the non-premium concourses. While Busch Stadium staff tend to be more friendly than personnel at other ballparks, the Redbird Club staff is especially attentive towards all fans.

The seats in the outdoor sections all provide a good view of the game with enough slant for seats in the back rows to have an unobstructed view of the game. Cup holders and wider aisles also provide a better experience.

The Bank of America Club at Busch Stadium has both inside and outside seating. Each ticket to the B of A Club includes an assigned seat for a specific section. One section of seating is inside the enclosed club area while the remainder are outside next to the outdoor Redbird Club seats.

Although the Cardinals change section numbers from time to time during stadium reconfigurations, section 260 is currently an indoor seating area within the Bank of America Club. Section 259 and section 258 are outdoor seating areas attached to the Bank of America Club.
